Dinner
For the past ten
years there has been a dinner gathering of Adirondack winter hikers, usually on
the first Saturday after the end of the “official 46er winter climbing season”
(12/21 to 3/21 inclusive). Originally
this was an informal gathering of winter climbers but due to its popularity and
attendance the event has become a third “annual 46er sponsored event.” It is an opportunity for newly finished
winter climbers to be introduced, recognized, and given the chance to make some
brief comments.
For everyone who attends it is an opportunity to spend several
hours informally sharing stories of past winter climbs. The buffet meal provided by the

RSVP and payment due by March 10th
Cost is $31/person, $17/kids age 3-12, and free to kids under
3. It is a full buffet with several
entrees, veggies, potato, salad and dessert. There will be a cash bar.
Program: Bob Collin, who founded the Rochester Winter
Mountaineering Society in 1966, will present a slide program of how it was back
then. Bob finished his w46 in 1977.
