This is in Microsoft Word format.  Please use it for your email or mail response to Jim Coyne. Come and join us as often as you can. Len, Pete, Jim and Sam, Trailmasters.

Saturday, May 10, Dix-Round Pond Blowdown Sweep

We will clear blowdown from the trailhead to the summit of Dix and clean water bars along the route. We will meet at the trail parking lot on Route 73 at 7:30 a.m.

Saturday, May 24, Spring Meeting Work Day

We will have crews clearing blowdown and cleaning water bars on the trails to Indian Pass, Wallface Ponds and the North Trail to Giant. The Indian Pass/Wallface Ponds crews will meet at the ADK hiker building at 7:30 a.m. The North Trail crew will meet at the trailhead parking lot, Route 9N at 7:30 a.m. Please let us know on the sign up sheet which area you would prefer to work.

Saturday, June 7, Dix-Elk Lake Blowdown Sweep

We will clear blowdown from the Hunters Pass and Beckhorn trails to the summit of Dix. We will meet at the old Frontier Town parking lot off of Exit 29 of the Northway at 7:15 a.m. and carpool to Elk Lake.

Saturday, June 21, and Sunday, June 22, Dix-Elk Lake Trail Hardening

These will be day trips so work with us on either day or both days if you can. We will harden wet spots around Slide Brook. We will meet at the old Frontier Town parking lot off of Exit 29 of the Northway at 7:15 a.m. each day and carpool to Elk Lake.

Saturday, July 12, and Sunday, July 13, an Additional Weekend with Darwin

The project and location for this outing is still to be determined, but Darwin will have an interesting job or two for us. Sign up and we will communicate the specifics to you about two weeks before the event.

Saturday, July 26, and Sunday, July 27, Women’s Only Weekend

We will camp at one of the State camp grounds and work with Darwin, our DEC contact, on a project, or two, to be determined. Sign up and we will communicate the details to you about two weeks before the outing.

Saturday, August 16 and Sunday, August 17, Putnam Pond Weekend with Darwin

We will camp at the State campground so no need to “rough it”. Camp sites will be available Friday afternoon, so join us then if you can. Darwin always has interesting projects for us to do during this fun weekend.

Saturday, September 13, North Trail to Giant

We will be side cutting about one mile of trail that will require a six mile hike to get to, so this will be a long, hard day and the pace will be fast. We will meet at the Marcy Field parking area at 7:15 a.m. and car pool to the trail.

Sunday after Fall Meeting  Date and Project to be Determined

We will work on Sunday, the day after fall meeting. Sign up and we will communicate the location and time to meet.

Please sign up with Jim Coyne for each outing that you plan to attend. We rarely change a scheduled event, but if we do and you haven’t signed up, we can’t contact you about any change. In accordance with DEC policy, children under sixteen years of age cannot perform trail work.
