THE ADIRONDACK FORTY-SIXERS, INC.

THE TWENTY-SIXTH ANNUAL

46er OUTDOOR LEADERSHIP WORKSHOP

ANNUAL MEETING: SATURDAY, MAY 24 1996 to MONDAY, MAY 26, 1996

PLEASE NOTE: All who are interested in the High Peaks of the Adirondacks are welcome to participate in all of the activities of the week-end: Summit Stabilization, trail work, the Meeting, the Dinner, the Program, the hikes, climbs - everything! This includes not only the 46ERS and their families, the "Peeks Subscribers" and their friends, the Aspiring 46ERS and their friends, but also any non-Aspiring 46ERS - EVERYONE is welcome!

No scheduled hikes or climbs are scheduled. Work them out among your friends. But there are scheduled trail maintenance work and summit soil stabilization. Details and ways to sign-up are to be found later in the 46er Newsletter.

ALL IN-DOOR ACTIVITIES will be held at the Keene Central School located in Keene Valley NY (yes, that is correct, not Keene NY, it is Keene valley NY)

SATURDAY: 2:00 to 4:30 PM: For those wishing to freshen up from the day's vigors, the school's showers will be open.

4:30 to 5:30 PM: Social Hour in the gym.

5:30 PM: Dinner (for those holding tickets)

7:00 PM: THE ANNUAL MEETING The agenda will include reports on current 46er projects, the introduction of new Recorder Members and the presentation to them of their "Certificate of Accomplishment", the election of officers, and much more.

PROGRAM: "Tour of Mt. Blanc" by 46er # 2534 June Fait.

THE GREAT OUTDOOR ADIRONDACK RENDEZVOUS

"The Great Outdoor Adirondack Rendezvous is a family-oriented, hands-on, three-day 'camporee' featuring an outdoor equipment show and a sampler of North Country activities including camping, hiking, canoeing......."

Date: June 6-8 weekend

Location: Lake Placid Horse Show Grounds

Activities: swap tent, camping, bobsled tryouts, Adk storytelling, horseback riding, live music, and lectures on rafting/mtn biking/fly fishing/rock climbing/wood carving/you-name-it.

The ADK Mtn Club has arranged several items, like live music, and assorted guided hikes. The 46ers Club will have a booth/exhibit.
