The following is this year’s program events. 

PLEASE NOTE: All who are interested in the High Peaks of the Adirondacks are welcome to participate in all of the activities of the weekend:  Trailwork, the Meeting, the Dinner, and the Program.  This includes not only the 46ers and their families, the "Peeks" subscribers, the Aspiring 46ers and their families, but also non-Aspiring 46ers.  EVERYONE is welcome!

There are no scheduled hikes or climbs.  Work them out yourselves.  There is a scheduled trailwork project on Saturday only.

The indoor activities will be held at the Lake Placid Resort-Crowne Plaza (formerly Holiday Inn).

 


 

 

 

SATURDAY, May 24th

  • 7:45 AM: We will have crews clearing blowdown and cleaning water bars on the trail to Indian Pass, Wallface Ponds, and the North trail to Giant.  Trail crews meet at 7:30 at the ADK Hiker Building at the ADK Loj (Indian Pass/Wallface Ponds crews), or at the North Trail to Giant trailhead (Route 9N) parking area (North trail crew).  


SUNDAY, May 25th

  • 4:30 PMVespers (in the Meeting Room)
  • 5:00 to 6:30 PMSocial hour/Cash Bar in Dinner Meeting Room - Members will be able to secure 46er pins, patches, buttons, t-shirts, belt buckles, note paper, and other 46er items
  • 6:00 to 7:30 PMDinner for those holding tickets:

Prices:  Adults - $20.50, Child (under 12) - $15

Menu: Garden greens accompanied by assorted mixed vegetables and creamy herb dressing, chef’s vegetable, potato or rice, dinner rolls and butter, dessert, and beverage (coffee, tea or milk).

            Choice of entrees:

·        Chicken Roulade (baked chicken breast stuffed with wild mushroom and classic cheddar stuffing with herb veloute sauce)

·        Pasta Primavera (fresh vegetables tossed in light olive oil, garlic & fresh herb sauce served with penne pasta)

  • 7:30 PM:  The Annual Meeting/Certificate Presentation -- The agenda will include reports on current projects, the introduction of new Forty-Sixers and presentation of the Certificates of Accomplishment, and the election of officers.
